lab created opal wrapped in sterling silver
This Lab created Opal pendant is handmade. It is wrapped in Sterling Silver wire. The pendant will come with a cotton gift cord, so that it is wearable right out of the box. The pendant will also come with a card that tells about the stone.
About this Stone:
Lab created Opal
This is a man-made stone consisting 80% silicon (opal) and 20% polymer
resin. The opal was grown in a lab, then dried, once dry, the opal was
very fragile. This fragile opal was then stabilized with polymers and in
some cases enhanced with bright colors not found in nature.
Over all I think this would be called a Simulated Opal, because it no longer
has the same physical and chemical characteristics as natural opal.
